I wanted to take a moment to send a special message to all of you who have lost someone that served in the military.  It sounds cliche but their memories live on in you.  That makes you responsible for telling their stories, so please tell them.  Let others know who the people were that keep this nation safe.

To those of you who serve, this may not be your day, but I want to recognize your courage.  The courage of knowing full well what the consequences could be.  I hope none of you will be memorialized on this day, but the knowledge that you are out there fighting for all of us in spite of the risks makes me proud.

And to those of you who fought along side your brethren, and by the grade of God survived those trials, you are cherished.  You are all hero's to me, the staff here at AZ Snakepit, and all of the fans of the Arizona Diamondbacks.  Baseball brings us together, but you are the reason we have the freedom to be together.

Thank you.
