Diamondbacks 4, Cubs 3

A decent start of Hellickson today. He ended up going 6 and 2/3 innings, allowing three runs, four hits, with four strikeouts. However, two of his hits left the park, so it wasn't all sunshine and roses. However, he has been showing improvement in his last couple of starts, since the announcement that he was going to work on speeding up his game. It seems to be helping, so we'll see if that continues going forward.

The offense did well today, lead, of course by Paul Goldschmidt. Paul was responsible for bringing home three of the four runs today, thanks to an RBI single in the first and a two run home run in the third. Also getting in on the RBI action was was Jeremy Hellickson, with an RBI sac fly in the third to bring home Nick Ahmed, who got a triple, extending his hit streak to nine games.

The bullpen was solid today, as well. Chafin came in for a quick, one hitter, appearence to finish off the seventh. Addison Reed came in for a 1-2-3 eighth, and Brad Ziegler finished things off in the ninth. Full recap to follow!
