Mobile's Brandon Sinnery pitched a gem in Mobile's 6-1 win that upped their record to 18-12 and moved them into 1st place in the Southern League South Division. Sinnery has been a pretty reliable starter through three levels now though he hasn't done enough to get any real play as a legitimate prospect. Through six starts this season in AA he's 4-1 with a 2.75 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 37 innings. he may get his cup of coffee in the bigs one of these days if he can continue to perform at this level.

AAA: Reno 5 @ Salt Lake 4. Starter Caleb Clay was serviceable allowing 4 runs over 5 innings but the bullpen was the star tacking on four shutout innings capped off by Jake Barrett's 7th save. The offense did just enough featuring a 4-run 5th inning that got them the lead they never relinquished. Jamie Romak hit his 4th home run and drove in two. Danny Worth was 2 for 4 with a double and Kevin Frandsen had two singles and an RBI.
AA: Mobile 6 @ Mississippi 1. Brandon Sinnery carried the team with a stellar outing allowing one run on three hits and 2 walks while striking out five over 7 innings of work. The balanced offensive attack pounded out 12 hits including Todd Glaesmann's 1st homer in AA. Alex Glenn and Socrates Brito each had two hits with a double and Sinnery had two hits and an RBI himself. Silvino Bracho got the final four outs allowing a hit and striking out one.
A+: Visalia 4 @ Bakersfield 3. The Rawhide scratched out yet another victory, this time in 10 innings when Stewart Ijames doubled home Chuck Tyalor with the go-ahead run. Anthony Banda was very good pitching 8 strong innings allowing 3 runs (one earned) on 7 hits with 5 strikeouts. Daniel Gibson pitched a clean 9th and Nickolas Sarianides the 10th for his 3rd save. Chuck Taylor had two hits including a solo homer in the 4th, his 1st of the year.
A: Kane County 2 Burlington 0. Three relievers combined with starter Brent Jones to spin a nice 6-hit shutout that was badly needed when the offense came up with just two runs. Jones went 6 innings giving up six hits and a walk while striking out 3. Zach Curtis picked up his 3rd save. Joe Munoz had three hits in the game.
