SnakePit Fantasy Baseball, Week 5

A tight week of games, with no side managing to score more than six points, and some very close categories. But does that still affect the standings?

Week 5 Results

AZ SnakePit 4, Trail-Hitters 5
Snake had Hitter of the Week Harper, whose six home-runs and 13 RBI took them within one SB of a sweep in hitting, Pollock adding two HR and seven R. But that tie proved crucial, since Trail did sweep pitching, behind Street's two wins, Familia's three Sv and Salazar's W + 20 K.

MyWieterGetzLongoria 6, Socrates Burritos 3
Wieter took WHIP by 0.0008 - 1.3676 to 1.3684 - plus Saves by one, and that was enough. Storen's Win, two Saves and a 0.33 WHIP was thus crucial. while Wong's two HR and nine RBI led their hitters. Socrates got a pair of homers from Brantley, while DeGrom added a Win and nine K's.

Angry Saguaro 4, Smell the Glove 6
And Smell too ERA by 0.004 - 3.350 to 3.354 - providing the margin here. They got three Saves from Rosenthal, while Colon gave them two Wins and 15 strikeouts. Longoria homered three times, driving in and scoring seven. Robertson got a W + two Sv for Angry, Martin going deep twice.

Dirk Ziegler 5, Rougned Hodor 5
The week's closest game saw honors even between Dierk and Rougned. The Zieglers racked up 71 K and a sub-three ERA, behind a W + 15 K from Richards, but hit only .217 with two HR. That led Hodor back in, Rizzo providing three of their 11 home-runs, and driving in seven.

Alabama Slammers 3, What the Hellickson? 5
Upset of the week goes to the Hellicksons, who upended the Slammers as Wins and Saves ended level. Three HR and five RBI from Goldschmidt powered What's offense, Pederson adding three HR and Perkins three Sv. Hernandez got two HR and 14 K for Alabama, Hunter adding two HR.

Mizzoula Osprey 4, Waffles 5
The Osprey came tantalizingly close to their first W, but came up short, despite hitting .301. Betts had three HR and Hosmer two HR + 10 runs driven in. However, Waffles held on, behind Pitcher of the Week Pineda (two Wins and 22 K's), while Feliz saved three and Semien notched two homers.

CGS 4, Yasmany as Possible 6
Yasmany edged both pitching and hitting, with Latos (Win plus 11 K) and Dozier (two HR, seven R) their top players respectively. CGS got three HR from Trout, while Bumgarner added a Win and 16 strikeouts, but the rate categories all went the way of Possible who hit a collective .297 for the week.

Meanwhile, Wieter dropped their first round match, but have been unstoppable since, winning their past four by a combined margin of 25-11. Who will prevail?
