Neither starter had a very good night tonight. The Dbacks kind of rocked Ryan Vogelsong tonight. He only made it four and two thirds innings, giving up seven runs on only six hits. Both David Peralta and Jake Lamb knocked three run homers to make up the majority of the scoring. Goldschmidt also got on base four times tonight, thanks to two walks and two hits.
Rubby De La Rosa started for the Dbacks and he struggled for most of the night, but occasionally showed his stuff that everyone knows he has. He let the Giants jump out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, and then let the tie it up again in the fourth. In addition, he was responsible for two more runs score in the sixth.
The bullpens both did much better. Yusmero Petit and George Kontos held the Dbacks scoreless over three innings. Other than Brad Zeigler allowing an inherited runner to score, he, Delgado, Marshall, and Reed held off the Giants for the Dbacks to win 7-6. Full recap to follow shortly!
