AAA: Reno 3 @ Fresno 2. A.J. Schugel fought his way through some wildness to hold Fresno to 2 runs over 5 innings on 3 hits and 6 walks. The bullpen was very good holding the Grizzlies at bay the rest of the way clinging to a one-run lead. Jake Barrett made it interesting in the 9th when he allowed a lead-off double and a sac fly that put him on 3rd. With the infield drawn in Barrett induced a ground out nailing the runner at home. Then 2 more walks by Barrett were excused when he got the final out on a fly ball to center. The offense did just enough led by Peter O'Brien's two doubles and an RBI. Garrett Webber had 2 hits and Trayvon Robinson had a double and 2 RBI.
AA: Mobile 4 Mississippi 3. In a soggy-field shortened game, Caleb Clay was good enough for 4 innings allowing 3 runs. The offense rallied for 2 runs in the 6th on Ronnie Freeman and Mitch Haniger singles to take a one-run lead. The bullpen pitched 3 perfect innings of relief with Will Locante getting the win and Adam Miller the save. Brandon Dury went 2 for 3 to raise his average to .271 and played second base. His power is lagging but he has a 6-game hitting streak and is starting to get unhinged.
A+: Visalia 2 @ San Jose 0. Rawhide pitching continues to dominate as Blake Perry came off the disabled list and pitched a 6-inning gem allowing no runs on 4 hits and didn't walk a batter while striking out 5. Jose Jose struck out 4 in his 2 innings of work and Nickolas Sarianides notched his 1st save with a perfect 9th. Domingo Leyba had 3 hits including a double and Kevin Medrano had a double and a triple.
A: Kane County 5 @ Burlington 4. The Cougars rallied from a 4-2 deficit with one in the 6th and 2 in the 7th to squeak out the win. Zac Curtis got the win Mason McCullough earned his 4th save. he has not allowed a run this season giving up just 2 hits over 7 innings with 9 strikeouts.
