Diamondbacks spring training Gameday Thread, #35: 4/3 vs. Cubs

Back at Chase for the first exhibition game against the Cubs.

There had been rumblings about playing Tomas in the outfield for the last couple of games at Chase, but he certainly does not appear to be in there tonight. Read into this what you want, but it seems like another piece of evidence that he'll be starting the season in the minors, unless we can find a taker for Aaron Hill in the next three days. Hellickson, who has been kinda "meh" in spring, gets his final tune-up, before starting the final game of the opening series next Wednesday.

This game is on Fox Sports Arizona Plus, so follow along there, and Turambar will be back with the first beercap of 2015 after this one is over. It's also the first night of metal detectors in use at Chase, though traffic will likely be pretty light for this one, in comparison to Monday.
