However, it feels like a bit of a double-edged sword: I'd rather we scored runs as a direct result of our own competence, and not have to rely on charitable gifts from others. Certainly, got to feel for Cashner, who was tagged with the L despite not allowing an earned run, and making some of our hitters look very, very foolish. It was only after he left the game, that we were able to add some insurance on against the Padres bullpen, who really haven't been as good as I expected thus far. Their 3.58 ERA is only 12th in the National League, and considering where they play, it should be a lot lower than that. Anyway, here's to our bullpen (5th at 2.28) continuing to be better.

I like the way we took full advantage of the San Diego error last night, to score four unearned runs. Without those, it would likely have been a very much closer game.
