Diamondbacks rally falls short: Collmenter slips to 0-2

At this point in the young season, Diamondbacks' right-hander Josh Collmenter's spot in the starting rotation does not appeared threatened.

Conversely, his first two starts of the campaign have been tenuous at best, and his stature as the number one starter may not be as stable as other number ones in major league baseball.

Two years ago there was a little to-do at Chase Field in Phoenix in which a group of fans were forced/asked/coerced/who knows to change into Diamondbacks gear because they were in front of the cameras in Dodgers gear and Dbacks' ownership didn't much care for that. The move was reportedly ordered directly from team owner Ken Kendrick who subsequently had an animated discussion with the fans about it.

Arizona (3-3) starts a seven-game trip after splitting six at home. The Diamondbacks failed to sweep a three-game set with the Dodgers, losing 7-4 on Sunday after a four-run ninth-inning rally wasn't enough.
