Snake Stars
3 Stars: Jamie Romak, Reno 3 for 4, 2 BB, 3 R, 1 HR (1), 2 RBI
2 Stars: John Omahen, Visalia 5.2 IP, 5 H, 1 BB, 6 K, 1 ER, W (1-0)
1 Star: Silvino Bracho, Visalia 1 IP, 0 H, 0 BB, 3 K, 0 ER, SV (1)
0 Stars: Allen Webster, Reno 3 IP, 7 H, 2 BB, 2 K, 6 ER

AAA: Reno 10 @ Albuquerque 16. Not a pitcher's duel this one, Allen Webster got roughed up and the bullpen failed as well after the offense grabbed the lead. Matt Reynolds gave up a 2-run homer that saddled him with the loss. The offense was more than competent with big days from Jamie Romak, Peter O'Brien and Matt Pagnozzi. Romak earned top stars billing with a 3 for 4 game including his first home run. O'Brien went 4 for 5 with an RBI and Matt Pagnozzi delivered a triple and a home run in his 3-hit game. Yazmany Tomas cranked his first home run of the season.

AA: Mobile 1 @ Birmingham 2. Brandon Sinnery made his first start at the AA level and was pretty good going 6 innings allowing 1 run on 6 hits and 3 walks. Unfortunately his support was meager with just 1 run on 2 hits. Socrates Brito drove in the only run with a triple in the 6th that tied the game at 1-1. RJ Hively and Will Locante did their part with scoreless innings, but Adam Miller gave up 2 hits sandwiched around 2 bunts to take the loss in walk-off fashion in the 9th.

A+: Visalia 2 High Desert 1. John Omahen was very good pitching into the 6th to lead the Rawhide to a tight 2-1 victory. The bullpen was also very good anchored by another save gem from Silvino Bracho who struck out the side to end the game. Bracho is putting up ridiculous numbers so far in his 3-year career striking out 144 batters in his first 100 innings with just 16 walks ... and he has converted 46 of 49 saves. Can you say "future major league closer?" All the offense was provided by a 2-run homer by Todd Glaesmann in the 4th inning.

Kane County 5 @ Burlington 6. The Cougars have lost their first 4 games to start the season and this one was the toughest yet. Starter Brad Keller was so-so but pitched 6 somewhat effective innings allowing 5 runs (3 earned) on 5 hits and a walk. Kane County took the lead with a 5-run 4th inning that featured 2-run doubles by Cody Regis and Fernery Ozuna. But they couldn't pull it out in the end as Zac Curtis gave up a walk-off homer to the leadoff hitter in the bottom of the 9th inning.
