Diamondbacks 0, Brewers 12: This recap intentionally left blank

And you thought Sunday was bad...

Cactus League record: 12-10-1.

Welp. That'll leave a mark. This will be brief, since I'm sure this game is one everyone involved with, whether attending or paritcipating, will be looking to forget as soon as possible. After a perfect first inning, the Yoan Lopez Express derailed in the second and third innings, giving up five hits, two walks and five earned runs in the second and third. Dan Runzler worked a scoreless fourth, but then things really went south for him and A.J. Schugel in a seven-run Brewer seventh. After allowing two hits and no runs over his first six innings, Schugel has less regressed than imploded: his last two frames have led to seven hits, three walks and eight earned runs.

So, 12-0 down by the middle of the fifth. Not going to be a problem getting out of Salt River Fields at the end of this one. Oliver Perez struck out two in his inning of work, and Enrique Burgos worked two scoreless, fanning an impressive five, though this was facing people you haven't heard of. However, seems he hit 97 mph a few times. Silvino Bracho worked a scoreless ninth. As for the offense, they barely showed up. Four hits, an Ender Inciarte double the only extra-base hit, and two walks. Probably the all-round worst performance of the pre-season. Let us move rapidly on.

Tomorrow is an off-day for the Arizona Diamondbacks, their only one of spring. Though you could be forgiven for considering this one pretty "off" as well...
