Diamondbacks spring training Gameday Thread, #23: 3/23 vs. Dodgers

Off to invade the Evil Empire's lair this afternoon. I suggest going for the small thermal exhaust port, right below the main port. I believe a precise hit will start a chain reaction which should destroy the station.

Diamondbacks line-up
  1. Ender Inciarte, LF
  2. Aaron Hill, 2B
  3. A.J. Pollock, CF
  4. Mark Trumbo, RF
  5. David Peralta, DH
  6. Yasmany Tomas, 3B
  7. Jake Lamb, 1B
  8. Chris Owings, SS
  9. Gerald Laird, C
+ P Daniel Hudson, Allen Webster, Andrew Chafin

Doesn't look like the team has given up on Tomas at third yet, though a decision on that will be coming soon [with only a fortnight left, the sooner the better, I think]. Lamb is in the line-up, but over at first-base, and Peralta gets the start as designated hitter. Interesting to see Pollock batting third in the line-up too. Hudson starts, and has not formally been ruled out of contention for a rotation spot, though he certainly doesn't seem to have thrown as many pitches as the other candidates. It is possible we could go with him in the rotation, and perhaps have an addition long relief arm out of the 'pen? But I'd like to see him go five innings at least once, ideally twice, before Opening Day.
