+ Allen Webster, Andrew Chafin, Jake Barrett, Enrique Burgos.
In some ways, it seems a little odd to have Collmenter starting against the Giants today. After all, in less than three weeks, the next time the two teams face off, it will be in a game that counts. I kinda vaguely remember the D-backs shuffling things up, so that their "regular" starting pitchers didn't face divisional rivals as spring training went on, for fear of them becoming over-familiar. We know Collmenter will certainly see the Giants that series, him being the Opening Day starter and all. Doesn't seem to be bothering the Giants though, since they're sending Madison Bumgarner to the mound, making this a preview for what we might see on April 6...
As mentioned yesterday, could also be Webster's last outing, given his lackluster performances so far. Curious to see Owings at second today too, with Drury - rather than Jake Lamb or Yasmany Tomas - starting at third. Wonder if there's a particular reason for this?
