SnakePit SpringTrainingFest
It takes place Sunday at Salt River Fields. Come hang out with us on the lawn there, and watch the D-backs take on the Rockies. [Yeah, I know: again...] This is likely to be a sell out - just about every weekend game at SRF this spring has been, with the single-game attendance record being broken twice already. And checking availability, the lawn is now showing as pale blue, which is the final category before it goes into Sold Out territory, so I'd recommend not hanging around any longer if you want to go. Lawn seats are $9, or $11 with the inevitable "fees", and are general admission. Further details nearer the time, though there's not much more to say beyond "Show up."
March madness bracket
Now that the brackets have been announced, seems like a good time to remind SnakePitters that we'll be having our our bracket competition. It's being done using a new-fangled system offered to us by the SB Nation overlords, that offers three different levels of play: the regular "pick 'em before the tournament", an intermediate option that lets you recalibrate before each game [netting you fewer points, obviously] and an advanced one that lets you change even during games. Me, I think I'll stick to my tried and trusted technique of going for the teams with the coolest mascots. Details below, and since things get under way on Thursday, get cracking.
