Very early going (as noted in the last article!), but a couple of things that have stood out this spring. Lamb isn't going to hand over the third-base job to Tomas without some kind of fight. And Brandon Drury seems to be making a lot of noise at second-base, performing well there. It's good to see young players step up their game in spring like this, and I hope it continues for both of them. It will make for some interesting decisions when it comes to roster construction later on. For instance, would Drury and/or Lamb be better served playing every day at Reno, even if we could use them effectively off the bench in the majors?

Elsewhere at SRF, Brad Ziegler and Chris Owings both appear to have come through their practice sessions unscathed, facing each other.

Hopefully, we'll see them in full-on Cactus League action before long.
