We start our voting for the Diamondbacks Plays of the Year. Here's the first batch of nominees.

Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

Here is the first of four batches of nominees for the 2015 play of the year. Small video of each has been embedded as a reminder of the play, or you can click on the header link, which will open a new tab with a larger version of the video on MLB.com. Pick your favorite of these five in the poll at the bottom. The winner of each group, and the highest-scoring runner up, will advance to the final vote, which will take place next week.

4/16: Ahmed diving stop and throw

Nick Ahmed fields a sharp grounder in the hole at shortstop and makes a strong throw to first to retire Buster Posey

4/29: Peralta throw to home plate

David Peralta nabs Corey Dickerson at home as he tries to score on Troy Tulowitzki's single, and after review the call is confirmed

5/9: Danny Dorn defeats Craig Kimbrel

Danny Dorn rips a double down the right-field line, driving in Jordan Pacheco and Aaron Hill to tie the game in the 9th inning

5/21: Hill backhand flip to second, ending inning

There's no stand-alone clip of this, but it can be seen at about 1:18 in the highlight reel. With the scores tied and the go-ahead run on third, Aaron Hill ended the inning with a flip to second of a wickedly-spinning ricochet off Randall Delgado. As we won 7-6, it kinda mattered.

5/22: Goldie's two-run game-tying homer with last strike in extras

Paul Goldschmidt clobbers a two-run home run to left-center field, his 11th of the season, tying the game at four in the 10th inning. There were two outs and he had two strikes on him.
