Cueto turns down large offer from Diamondbacks

Steve Gilbert is reporting that Johnny Cueto has turned down a 6 Year/$120 Million offer from the Diamondbacks.

Second: This does seem to show a willingness for the Diamondbacks to spend money this offseason, whether on Cueto or another Free Agent.

This does not immediately preclude the Diamondbacks from signing Cueto this offseason, as they could up the offer, but that is a lot of money to say no to off the bat. What the Diamondbacks will do after this will be interesting to see. There definitely seems to be money to burn.
