Stottlemyre Leaves the Team - On the heels of the team's dismissal of pitching coach Mike Harkey, Mel Stottlemyre, Jr. was named to the post. Now it seems, he too will be leaving, in order to head home to the Pacific Northwest to be near his father, famed Yankees pitching coach Mel Stottlemyre, Sr. who is battling cancer.
