A comeback was not in the cards for Mobile in their suspended game as they ultimately lost 9-1 and were washed out of the Southern League playoffs. Visalia lost to Bakersfield and now lead their divisional round series 2-1 with game 4 Tuesday night at home.
AA: Mobile 1 @ Jacksonville 9. A.J. Schugel wasn't his best as he couldn't get out of the 4th inning before allowing 4 runs on 5 hits and 2 walks. It got worse in the 7th and 8th innings as Seth Simmons and RJ Hively couldn't keep the game close. The offense had no response with 1 run on 7 singles.
A+: Visalia 3 Bakersfield 7. The Rawhide couldn't complete the 3-game sweep of Bakersfield and have 2 more chances to close the series out, either Tuesday night at home or Wednesday nght in Bakersfield. Brandon Sinnery got the start and was decent holding the Blaze to 2 runs over 5 innings. The bullpen was not so decent as relievers Johnny Shuttlesworth, Justin Van Grouw and Henry Garcia each got tagged for damage. The offense was pretty quiet with 3 runs on 6 hits. George Roberts hit a solo home run for the only hitting of note.
