Week 25 results
Championship: Trail-Hitters 6, The Rusty Trumbones 4
Congratulations to the 2014 SnakePit Fantasy League Champions, Trail-Hitters, who edged the Rusty Trombones in a match that was close in almost every area. Six of the seven counting categories were decided by four or less, with BA going to Rusty by .005. Jones and Walker each hit two HR and drove in six for Trail, while Upton and Kemp virtually matched that for Rusty, with two HR and five RBI apiece. Kimbrel's three Saves were crucial for the Hitters, but 11 shutout K's for Kluber kept Rusty in this until the very end.
3rd/4th place: Mizzoula Osprey 4, Alabama Slammers 6
Alabama claimed third-place in an equally-close contest. They took Wins by one, with Greinke's two W's and 11 strikeouts being crucial. They also got a trio of saves from Rondon and Howard. Liriano and Samardzija each gave Mizzoula a Win and 12 strikeouts, in a pitching-heavy contest. No hitter had more than one home-run here, and the sides combined for only 36 RBI.
7th/8th place: Gregorius B.I.G. 2, MyWieterGetzLongoria 8
Wieter took home the title in the consolation bracket. Trumbo powered there offense, with three homers and eight RBI, while Price's W and 16 K's did the same on the mound. Zimmermann provided support with a W and 10 strikeouts. Gregorius got five Runs and four RBI out of Betts.

Congratulations to Trail on their victory, and many thanks to all the participants for their interest and enthusiasm. Anyone care to report on how the two lower leagues went? SnakePit Fantasy Baseball will be back in 2015, with registrations typically opening around the beginning of spring training, so look forward to seeing everyone then - and, of course, any newcomers who might be interested in joining a league.
