Championship Bracket

Mizzoula Osprey 4, Trail-Hitters 6
There will be a new champion this year, as title holders Mizzoula went out to Trail, in a staggeringly well-pitched game, where the Osprey had an ERA of 2.34 and a 0.96 WHIP - and lost both categories, to Trail's 1.63 and 0.93 scores. Cashner's two W, 14 K and 0.47 WHIP were crucial for Trail, backed by Shelds' 12 K, as they swept pitching. But they Osprey almost did the same on hitting, as they batted .305, with Dickerson and Garcia homering twice. However, Trail snatched SB by a 4-3 margin, and as a result, move on to the championship game.

The Rusty Trumbones 6, Alabama Slammers 3
There, they will faced the fourth-placed Trumbones, who stunned top seeds Slammers, thanks largely to pitcher of the Week Kluber's two Wins and 28 strikeouts. They also got a W and two Sv from Robertson, while their offense was led by Kemp, who had three home-runs and drove in 10. Alambama got 17 strikeouts from Hutchinson, while Storen saved four, and at the plate, Rosario had two HR and nine RBI, but the regular-season leaders came up short, and will meet Osprey in the final round, to decide who finishes in third place this year.

5th/6th place: Waffles 6, CGS 4
Waffles saved their best for last, sweeping pitching behind a 1.04 ERA and 0.69 WHIP, with Arrieta's W, 13 K and zero ERA their best performance, though four players had multi-save weeks too. CGS's 1.57 ERA was nothing to be ashamed of, but they couldn't rack up the counting stats, with just one W and 24 K's. They did a lot better at the plate, where Bruce and Martin each had a pair of homers, but Waffles took batting average by fourteen points, .282 to .268, and that proved the difference here, securing them 5th place.

Consolation Bracket

AZ SnakePit 4, Gregorius B.I.G. 5
The sole save here came on Sunday from Jansen, and was enough for BIG's victory, with SB ending tied. They got two HR and nine RBI out of Gomes, with Arcia homering twice, while deGrom notched a W and 23 K's. Snake got two Wins and a dozen K's from Kennedy, with Morneau scoring 10 and driving in seven.

MyWieterGetzLongoria 5, Trumboner 3
Trumbo's power surge, with three HR and nine RBI, helped Wieter prevail in this match-up, Pearce almost matching him with three HR and seven RBI. Ventura and Cole each struck out seven and recorded a Win for Trumboner, but Santana's ten K's gave that to Wieter by a single strikeout, and overall victory.

11th/12th place: Space Wizard 4, Angry Saguaro 5
Angry finish in eleventh, with Cuddyer's three HR and nine driven in pacing their offense, along with a pair of homers from Ackley. Space got three HR and five RBI from Ortiz, while Strasburg picked up two W and 12 K, with Lynn fanning 14. But Kershaw had a W and nine K as Space held on, with SB ending level at three.

The final round of games will decide the winners of the 2014 SnakePit Fantasy Baseball championship. Rusty and Trail met twice in the regular season. The first encounter, back in Week 5, was a convincing win for the Trumbones by a 7-2 margin, but the Week 18 rematch was much more even with the game finishing in a 5-5 tie. This title game should be equally as close.
