Week 21 Results

AZ SnakePit 4, Trail-Hitters 6
Snake had Hitter of the Week Holliday (four HR, 13 RBI), but it wasn't quite enough, as Trail batted .312 with Posey delivering three HR and driving in 10. They also got a Win and 18 K's from Wood, with Kimbrel saving three; Verlander had a W and struck out out eight for AZ.

Gregorius B.I.G. 4, CGS 4
The week's tightest game saw R and RBI both ending level, but Carter and Harrison both homered twice for CGS as they edged hitting. Gregorius came back on the mound, however, posting a sparkling collective ERA of 1.86, Davis winning two. Cueto (CGS) had a W + 14 K.

Sofa King Juiced 3, Waffles 6
Waffles kept their playoff hopes alive with this win, and can thank Shoemaker for his two W and 13 K, as they came within one Sv of sweeping pitching. Burnett had a W and 20 K for Sofa, and Byrd homered twice in a losing cause. Cruz (Waffles) led all players here with five Runs.

MyWieterGetzLongoria 3, Trumboner 7
Trumboner's pitching was too much for Wieter, with a 2.33 ERA and 0.90 WHIP, behind Pitcher of the Week Bumgarner (two W, 20 strikeouts) and Mejia (three Sv). Melancon saved four for Witers, and Soler had three HR, but Davis matched that for Trumboner, and they cruised in.

Mizzoula Osprey 6, Alabama Slammers 4
In a warm-up for a possible post-season contest, Mizzoula came out on top, thanks to Ellsbury (four HR, .500) and Samardziza (Win and 19 strikeouts). Sale led Alabama's pitching, putting up a W and 13 K's, with Martinez and Braun homering twice. Santana drove in five for the Osprey.

Got Grittiness? 0, Angry Saguaro 9
The week's biggest blowout saw Saguaro fall one RBI short of a perfect game, Ramos and Gordon each had three home-runs for Angry, driving in four and six respectively. Peavy had a W + 13 K, with Odorizzi getting a W and 10 K's. Bautista had five HR for Got, but only scored and drove in six.

The Rusty Trumbones 6, Space Wizard 3
Harper's trio of home-runs helped the Trumbones edge hitting, supported by Werth's two; Trout had two HR and six RBI for Space. The pattern was similar on the mound, Gee's two W and eight strikeouts being enough for Rusty; Lackey had a W and nine strikeouts for the Wizards.

Week 22 Games

AZ SnakePit vs. Got Grittiness?
Gregorius B.I.G. vs. Trail-Hitters
Sofa King Juiced vs. CGS
MyWieterGetzLongoria vs. Waffles
Mizzoula Osprey vs. Trumboner
The Rusty Trumbones vs. Angry Saguaro
Space Wizard vs. Alabama Slammers

It looks like the top four are almost guaranteed playoff spors, but with a bye in the first week for the top two, there's much to be decided. Leaders Alabama appear to have the easiest task, facing 12th-placed Wizard. It looks like two from CGS, Trumboner and Waffles will join them, and Trumboner have a tough match-up in the last round, facing reigning champions Mizzoula in the ESPN Game of the Week, needing to match or beat Waffles' score to all but guarantee themselves a post-season chance.
