Diamondbacks 2, Giants 4

Addison Reed spoils a good start from Andrew Chafin.

Rookie starter Andrew Chafin was impressive in his second start of the season. The only major issue was the four walks given up through his six innings of work. The two runs that the Giants scored off of Chafin came in innings where he surrendered a free pass.

San Francisco got on the board first in the top of the second when Brandon Crawford doubled home Adrew Susac from first base. The D-backs answered in the bottom half when Chafin helped himself out with a single to right, scoring Cody Ross and tying the game up at one.

Both teams scored a run in the fifth. The Giants' coming off of a safety squeeze from Gregor Blanco to score Crawford; and the D-backs' coming on a dropped third strike in the dirt, allowing Pollock to swipe home and tie it back up when Susac threw it to first.

Addison Reed came on in the ninth, walked two, gave up two hits and the Giants took a two run lead. They didn't surrender that in the bottom half when Santiago Casilla closed it out.
