Dbacks MiLB Round-Up 9/13: Two Losers

Both Reno and Visalia lost critical playoff games last night and both face elimination games on Sunday. Reno had a chance to win the title and gets another chance today in this winner-take-all game five final. Visalia lost the middle game of their 5 game set and trail two games to one and now must win two straight to capture the California League title.

AAA: Reno 2 @ Omaha 11. Charles Brewer got rocked as Reno tried to clinch the title and the offense had little response. Brewer gave up 6 runs over 3 innings on 7 hits and that was pretty much that. Bo Schultz and Kaleb Fleck followed and weren't much better in what turned into a blowout. On offense Danny Dorn had 3 hits and a solo home run.

A+: Visalia 3 @ Lancaster 4. The Rawhide lost a heart breaker in 10 innings when Joey Krehbiel served up a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th. Visalia got out to an early 2-0 lead on a trio of singles and an error. Lancaster tied it with solo tallies in the 3rd and 4th and then both teams traded runs in the 7th to set up the late inning heroics. Brandon Sinnery started and pitched well allowing 2 runs over 6 innings. Kevin Medrano led the offense with 2 hits including a double.
