Diamondbacks 2, Giants 6: Peavy and the Pips Enough for Sweep

Jake Peavy didn't go deep in the game, but he didn't need to with 5 relievers ready to finish the 3 game sweep.

One would be forgiven thinking this was a Spring Training game with the amount of players that got see action in the mid-September getaway game. 16 Diamondbacks made and appearance to face 17 Giants, though not all at once because that would be ridiculous.

The Giants scored a run in the 1st, and had a 3 run lead before Arizona could even counter with one run in the 6th. Of course, 'Frisco then scored 3 more runs in the bottom of the 6th and it was good night, Gracie.

Jake Peavy only pitched 5 2/3 innings, but he struck out 8 during his brief time on Earth so I guess it was enough. Randall Delgado started for the Diamondbacks, but only managed 4 innings with 3 strikeouts. After that it was all bullpen, but who cares about them? They're like the middle linebackers of baseball, riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight?

The loss now puts the Diamondbacks on a 6 game losing streak, and tied for last in the NL West with the Rockies. The Diamondbacks remind their fans that depression ice cream will not be provided unless you buy a Super Special Ticket Package that comes with a swift punch to the gut by a pant-less Baxter.
