Diamondbacks 0, Giants 5

It was yet another poor performance at the plate for the Diamondbacks en route to their fifth straight loss.

Diamondbacks starter Josh Collmenter cashed in yet another terrific start, but no help from the offense and failures of the bullpen saw Arizona lose its 86th game of the season.

Ryan Vogelsong was a bit erratic on the night with his five walks, but escaped trouble in a couple of innings to go 6.2 without a run given up on just two hits and three strikeouts.

The D-backs had an opportunity to put a run on the board in the second inning against Vogelsong after loading the bases up, but a Collmenter ground out would retire the side.

San Francisco did the brunt of its work in the bottom of the seventh inning after Collmenter's day was done. The Giants scored four in the inning, and added one more in the eighth for a final score of 5-0.
