As expected Jake Lamb was moved on up to Reno to take over for Andy Marte as Brandon Drury was sent to Mobile. Drury didn't start in his first game but he did pinch hit in the 9th inning and promptly homered. That's always a good way to endear yourself to your teammates upon arriving in a new place. I personally don't expect Jake Lamb to spend a long time in Reno. The only argument against promoting him to the big leagues is not wanting to put him on the 40-man roster yet for some reason. Other trades can still happen over the next few weeks that will impact the roster and have potential cascading effects. A couple other moves of note: Kevin Cron was promoted from Missoula to Hillsboro and Michael Lee jumped up to Reno from Mobile and made his first start.

AAA: Reno 7 @ Fresno 4. Michael Lee made his first start for Reno and was pretty good allowing 2 runs over 5 innings on 5 hits and 2 walks. The offense made him a winner with 3 runs in the 4th and 3 more in the 6th. Mike Freeman had a big game going 3 for 4 with a double, 2 triples and 3 RBI. Blake Lalli went 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI. The bullpen was outstanding with 3.1 shutout innings to close the game as Jake Barrett got his 7th save. Jake Lamb hasn't arrived in Reno yet.
AA: Mobile 3 @ Mississippi 1. Justin Fitzgerald had a good outing but was pulled after 4 innings having allowed 1 run on 4 hits. Cody Wheller remained perfect in AA with a clean 5th inning that got him the win. Three other relievers added goose eggs and Kaleb Fleck got his 14th save. Brandon Drury made a grand entrance in the 9th in his first AA at bat by homering for an important insurance run as a pinch hitter.
A+: Visalia 2 Modesto 0. Brandon Sinnery was very good with 6 shutout innings on 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 6. Joey Krehbiel and Enrique Burgos kept the shutout intact with 3 more zeros that included 5 strikeouts. The offense only had 5 hits with 2 coming from Kevin Medrano who doubled and drove in 1 of the 2 runs.
A: South Bend 6 @ Dayton 8. This one was never really very close except for the 4 runs scored in the 9th by South Bend that made it seem close. Sean Furney wasn't his best allowing 5 runs (4 earned) over 6 innings. Daniel Bowman went 3 for 4 with a double and Fidel Pena hit a 2-run homer.
A-: Hillsboro 1 @ Spokane 10. Not a pretty game here as Nick Baker got bounced around for 5 runs in 5 innings and the offense wasn't up-to-the-task. Jordan Parr went 2 for 5 with a double and the lone RBI.
R: Missoula 4 Helena 0. Tyler Bolton had it all working as he completed 7 shutout innings on 2 hits. Kevin Simmons got the save pitching the 8th and 9th innings. Trevor Mitsui continues to mash going 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. Dane McFarland went 3 for 4 and stole his 10th base while Fernery Ozuna went 2 for 4.
AZL: Dbacks 3 @ Angels 4. Felipe Perez pitched a little better than he had been with 2 runs allowed over 4 innings on 6 hits. Holden Helmink and Rodrigo Takahashi each allowed a run in relief that was the difference in the game. Marcus Wilson led a pretty meager offense with 2 hits and a stolen base. Alvaro Rondon went 2 for 5.
