AAA: Reno 3 @ Round Rock 2. Lucas Harrell got the win with a yeoman-like effort allowing 2 runs over 5.1 innings on 6 hits and 4 walks while striking out 4. The bullpen held on to the 3-2 lead Harrell left them with as Jess Todd, Kevin Munson and Will Harris went the final 3.2 innings giving up just 1 hit with 4 strikeouts. Ronny Cedeno did the most damage with a 2-run homer in the 4th inning, his 3rd. Garrett Webber went 2 for 4.
AA: Mobile 4 @ Pensacola 3 (Suspended- Power). There were fireworks in this game late that apparently blew out the power and the game was suspended in the top of the 9th with Mobile clinging to a 4-3 lead. Aaron Blair started and went 6 strong innings giving up no runs on just 1 hit and 1 walk. Unfortunately Jimmie Sherfy and Kaleb Fleck couldn't hold on to the 2-0 lead given to them by a first inning 2-run homer by Brandon Drury and surrendered 3 runs on 4 hits and a walk. The offense came right back in the top of the 9th scoring 2 runs and had runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out when the power went out. It is scheduled to be continued on Thursday.
A+: Visalia 2 Stockton 5. Spencer Arroyo got roughed up for 5 runs in the 4th and 5th innings and the team never recovered. The bullpen of Justin Van Grouw, Joey Krehbiel and Enrique Burgos was perfect pitching 4.2 no-hit innings in relief but it was too little too late. Breland Almadova had 2 doubles and 2 RBI as the bulk of the offense.
A: South Bend 5 @ West Michigan 1. Ryan Doran tossed a complete game 3-hitter allowing 1 run while striking out 8 to lead the Silver Hawks to an easy win. Doran is a 24-year-old right hander that went undrafted and he's been good at the lower levels these past two season. He'll just need to move up quickly due to his age if he wants to be taken for a real prospect. The offense had 12 hits, all singles with 2 RBI each coming from Chuck Taylor and Justin Williams. Jamie Westbrook had 3 of the singles.
A-: Hillsboro 1 Boise 0. Four Hops pitchers combined for a 9-inning no hitter. However, the game was still tied 0-0. Zac Curtis surrendered a double in the top of the 10th but finished the inning unblemished, and the offense got the win in the bottom half with a single and 3 consecutive walks. The Hops themselves only had 2 hits. Jared Miller started and went 4 innings. Nick Baker went 2, Dustin Loggins went 1, Luis Ramirez went 1 and Zac Curtis pitched the 9th.
