Only 3 games on the docket last night but all 3 teams won by large margins. Reno clobbered Sacramento with 17 runs on 23 hits, Hillsboro used an 8-run 7th to win 13-7, and the AZL Dbacks jumped out to a 7-1 lead and coasted home 9-4.

AAA: Reno 17 Sacramento 4. There was almost too much offense in this game to mention it all. It was Reno's biggest outburst of the year with 17 runs on 23 hits. Nick Ahmed and Mike Freeman had 4 hits each. Roger Kieschnick, Ronny Cedeno and Blake Lalli each had 3. Zach Borenstein and Andy Marte chiped in with 2. Marte and Mike Jacobs each homered. Mike Bolsinger started and did his part allowing 2 runs on 8 hits and 2 walks while striking out 9 in 5.2 innings of work.

A-: Hillsboro 13 @ Salem-Keizer 7. Felipe Perez made his first start above rookie ball and wasn't half bad allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 5 hits and a walk over 5 innings. The offense was the story though taking a close game and turning it into a rout with an 8-run 7th inning. The top 6 hitters in the lineup each had at least 2 hits with Jake Mayers collecting 3. Zack Esquerra was the star delivering a grand slam in the big inning and a 2-run double earlier for 6 RBI. Jordan Parr had 3 RBI and Mayers 2.
R: Missoula - Off Day
AZL: Dbacks 9 @ Mariners 4.Starter Merkis Montero earned a trip off the island and he didn't disappoint in his stateside debut. He went 5 innings allowing just a solo home run while striking out 5. Montero has had a strong season to date in the DSL pitching to a 1.66 ERA with 69 strikeouts in 70 innings. Matt McPhearson paced the offense with 3 hits and a walk. Ismael Pena had 2 hits with a triple and 2 RBI. Vicson Graciano had 2 hits and 3 walks while driving in 3.
