SnakePit Fantasy Baseball, Week 14

A lot of close games, with only one of the seven decided by a margin of more than 6-4. And, hey, we have the same leader as last week, even though their margin was significantly reduced.

Week 14 results

AZ SnakePit 3, Gregorius B.I.G. 7
The closest thing to a blowout this week, Gregorius being led by Hitter of the Week Pearce, who had three HR and nine RBI, with Peralta adding two HR, and Ross leading all pitchers with a W and nine K. Snake got two HR froim Spring, and a W and seven K's by Iwakuma.

Sofa King Juiced 4, Angry Saguaro 6
Sofa got three home-runs from Byrd, but were edged on hitting by Angry, led by two homers and five RBI out of Granderson, with McGeehee scoring and driving in five. Same on the mound, where Juiced received ten strikeouts from Burnett, with Quintana matching that for the Saguaro.

MyWieterGetzLongoria 5, Space Wizard 4
SB ended level at two and that was just enough for Wieter to hold on. Calhoun (two HR, six R) led their offense, with strong support on the mound from Price (two W, 15 K). Space got two W and a dozen K's from Lincecum, with Trout homering twice on their account.

Mizzoula Osprey 5, The Rusty Trumbones 3
Leaders Rusty lost, but did hold on at the top, doing just enough, with three HR and eight driven by Pujols, and three Saves from Robertson. Martinez notched three HR for Mizzoula, who piled up a dozen long balls all told, with Desmond driving in seven and hitting .409.

Trumboner 6, Got Grittiness? 4
Trumboner swept pitching, with eight W, 79 K and a 2.33 ERA, including Pitcher of the Week Richards (two W, 20 K), Hahn adding a W and 14 strikeouts. Kazmir had a W + 15 K for Got. and Bautista homered twice, but Trumboner just held on, despite batting .212 with 11 RBI.

Waffles 5, Trail-Hitters 5
Waffles edged hitting, behind Abreu and Cruz, who each homered twice; Trail countered with Hunter and Jones doing the same. However, the roles were reversed on the mound, the Hitters just prevailing, as Kimbrel + Smith saved three, while Arrieta had a W and 15 K's for Waffles.

CGS 5, Alabama Slammers 4
Each side homered five times, with Hamilton (CGS) and Viciedo (Alabama) each going deep twice, and this gave the win to CGS. They edged things in pitching, with Britton's four Saves leading the league, though the Slammers were boosted by Miley's Win and 18 strikeouts.

And, in case you're wondering, the Pitcher of the Week wasn't actually on anyone's roster, reliever Brad Brach notching three Wins this week, with a zero ERA and six strikeouts.
