Good morning, Arizona. The departure of Brandon McCarthy raises another white flag for the 2014 season, and means that it's time to bring Tankapalooza 2014 into full effect. Here are the standings as we begin our quest for the #1 draft pick next season.

As you can see, it's very close, with the top bottom ten teams covered by a spread of only four games. Right now, however, we are tied with the Astros for the prime slot, though with 73 games left, an awful lot can still change. But with the trades of Thatcher and McCarthy this weekend, Arizona has shown that they will strive to ensure that no display of competence from a seasoned major-league accidentally causes them to lose sight of the prize.

We'll continue to follow this exciting competition over the remaining three months of the season. Hey, got to find our entertainment where we can, amiright? Because the regular standings just ain't cutting it...
