The Diamondbacks fire sale may be beginning, and the Los Angeles Angels are the first to camp out at midnight to get in on the deals.

Ken Rosenthal first reported and has since been confirmed by Nick Piecoro that Thatcher and Campana are heading to Anaheim. The return for the Diamondbacks has yet to be announced, but according to Piecoro "a prospect and another minor leaguer" are the return.

Thatcher, a left-handed specialist, was acquired last season from San Diego in the Ian Kennedy trade. He put up a 2.63 ERA in 24 Innings Pitched and an ERA+ of 144.

Campana, acquired before the 2013 season from the Cubs, has spent most of this season in Triple-A Reno, with two stints in the majors. His slash line was .150/.164/.200 in 61 Plate Appearances.

When the return from the Angels is announced, stay tuned to AZ Snakepit for news and analysis on the return. As mentioned at the start, the selling off of Diamondback parts may just be getting started.
