AAA: Reno 4 Sacramento 6. Andrew Chafin had a rough 1st inning allowing a hit, a walk and a homer to start the game. He settled down after that with 4 shutout innings before surrendering 2 more runs in the 6th. The offense never caught up though they did get 12 hits and left 10 on base. Aaron Cunningham had a double and a triple and scored twice. Argenis Diaz went 3 for 4 and Mike Freeman was 2 for 4.

AA: Mobile 6 Pensacola 2. Eric Brooks made his first start for Mobile and threw 5 shutout innings on 2 hits that was plenty good enough to earn the win. Jimmie Sherfy pitched a clean inning of relief with a strikeout, only his second appearance since June 26. Tom Belza led the offense going 2 for 3 with a walk, a double and 2 RBI. Jake Lamb went 1 for 2 with a walk and an RBI.

A+: Visalia 2 @ Inland Empire 7. It's been a little while since we've seen the good Jesse Darrah and he got roughed up again for 6 runs in less than 5 innings. The offense responded with 4 hits. Blech.

A: South Bend 6 Lake County 2. Blayne Weller had a very nice outing allowing 2 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks over 6 innings while striking out 9. The offense scored 2 in the 2nd and 3 in the third to overcome an early 2-0 deficit. Everyone contributed with Stryker Trahan hitting his 12th homer, and Joe Munoz and Jamie Westbrook each went 2 for 4 with a double. Andrew Velazquez was 2 for 5 and stole his 34th base. He has 9 stolen bases in his last 10 games.

A-: Hillsboro 1 @ Salem-Keizer 5. Ryan Doran was decent on the mound allowing 4 runs (3 earned) over 7 innings. But the offense didn't do much in return. Four hits was all they could manage with 2 coming from Bennie Robinson.

R: Missoula 6 Billings 3. The Osprey blew open a close game with 4 runs in the 6th inning with Tyler Humphreys delivering the big blow, a 2-run double. Markus Solbach was good enough going 7 innings allowing 3 runs on 6 hits. Jency Solis pitched 2 perfect innings of relief for his 2nd save. Kevin Cron had 3 hits and Jake Mayers 2.

AZL: Dbacks 9 @ Giants 7. The Dbacks went extra innings to win 9-7 after allowing 6 of 7 runs to score due to a whopping 6 errors. Andrew Barbosa made the start on a rehab assignmnt and pitched 2 scoreless innings. Four different pitchers followed each allowing one or more unearned runs. Fellow rehabber Mark Trumbo hit another home run, again as the DH. Gerard Hernandez and Jacob Cordero led the offense with 3 hits each.
