Nick Evans is still here, and still not playing. However, I get the feeling this is one of those cases where it's more likely the news of his departure for Japan was simply premature, rather than actually wrong [didn't Jack Magruder have a Tweet earlier in the season like that, which turned out to be right, a little further down the line?]. Maybe it depends on when they think Jordan Pacheco is able to come off the disabled list.

Mark Trumbo is rewarded for going 0-for-4 with eight men left on base yesterday, with a promotion to the clean-up spot. The mind of Gibson works in mysterious ways, even though there is a left-hander on the mound, which should certainly make things a bit easier for poor Mark, who has had a terrible time of it since returning from the DL. Or, indeed, this entire season. Trumbo's OPS this season is now 113 points below Adam Eaton's - and that's discounting entirely defense, cost or the fact Trumbo also cost us Tyler Skaggs. When the story of the Towers era is written, this trade could turn out to be a defining moment.

Might want to get a sandwich. As the D-backs pointed out
