I think Kirk Gibson has probably been replaced by a mannequin, because that's the only way to explain him using the same line-up for an entire series. Even with it being a day game after a night game, we don't see, say, Tuffy Gosewisch spelling Montero behind the dish. But I guess, when your bench consists of Gosewisch, Nick Evans, Alfredo Marte, Ender Incisrte and Nick Ahmed, with Evans posting the best OPS+ this year at 75, and everyone else below 60... Yeah, you're probabky going to have a fairly stable everyday line-up. At least there's a day off tomorrow, that'll give everyone a break.
Another non-televised afternoon game, so my recap will likely be... vague and uninvolved. Though to be honest, that's about what you'd expect for game #102 from a team which would need to win thirteen straight games, simply to reach .500. [Though it'll be worse next week, when the game starts virtually before I roll out of bed] I'm feeling seriously conflicted, because there's a part of me which wants the team to lose for various reasons, and part of me which feels like I'm a terrible fan for wanting that. On the other hand, this does mean that whatever the result of this afternoon's contest, part of me will be happy.
