It was a night of some strong pitching performances across the minors, and that's in spite of Aaron Blair having his start washed out in Mobile. Bo Schultz went the distance for Reno for his 8th win. Markus Solbach pitched a complete-game, 3-hit shutout for South Bend. Ryan Doran went 7 strong innings allowing 2 unearned runs for Hillsboro. And Yefrey Ramirez threw 7 shutout innings on 1 hit with 9 strikeouts for the AZL Dbacks. None of these performances were by any of our "name" prospects but it's nice to see this kind of depth across the organization.

AAA: Reno 7 Tacoma 4. Bo Schultz went the distance allowing 4 runs (2 earned) on 10 hits and a walk while striking out 5 to raise his record to 8-6. Andy Marte went 4 for 4 and drove in 3 while Mike Freeman had 3 hits including 2 doubles. Danny Dorn went 2 for 4 with a walk, a triple and an RBI.
AA: Mobile - Rained Out
A+: Visalia 12 @ High Desert 11. Another wild one in hitting-crazed High Desert as 5 of the 6 pitchers the Rawhide sent out allowed runs. Alex Glenn had the big game on offense going 4 for 5 with 3 doubles and a triple. Kevin Medrano went 3 for 5 with a triple and Rudy Flores hit his 17th home run. Brandon Drury was 2 for 5 with a walk and 2 RBI.
A: South Bend 6 Peoria 0. Markus Solbach pitched a complete-game, 3-hit shutout in his best outing since being acquired by the Diamondbacks. The offense made sure it didn't go to waste behind Fidel Pena's 3 for 4 game with a triple and 3 RBI. Marty Herum hit a 2-run homer. Andrew Velazquez was given the day off.
A-: Hillsboro 3 @ Eugene 2. Ryan Doran had a very strong outing allowing just 2 unearned runs on 7 hits and a walk over 7 innings. The Hops clawed back from a 2-0 deficit with single runs in the 6th, 7th and 9th innings. Zac Curtis pitched a perfect 9th with 2 strikeouts for his 10 save. Curtis has 25 strikeouts in 14 innings. George Roberts had a double and 2 RBI and Pedro Ruiz went 2 for 4 with a double.
R: Missoula 4 Orem 13. The Osprey got smoked as Brad Keller got hit hard again allowing 5 runs on 8 hits over 5 innings. Fernery Ozuna hit a pair of solo home runs and Trevor Mitsui hit his 7th.
AZL: Dbacks 5 @ Giants 0. Yefrey Ramirez was unhittable allowing just 1 hit over 7 innings with 9 strikeouts. He has 41 strikeouts and just 3 walks in his 31 innings this season. He is probably going to be headed elsewhere pretty soon. The Dbacks waited until the 8th inning to make Ramirez a winner when the team strung together 5 hits, a walk and a sacrifice fly. Matt McPhearson and Raul Santana each had 2 hits.
