AZ SnakePit 4, Got Grittiness? 6
Got may not have pitched much, but they pitched well, with a collective 1.69 ERA. That, and a solid offense led by Cespedes and Craig (each two HR, seven RBI) proved enough to edge AZ. Snake got two HR and eight RBI by Ramirez; and pitcher of the Week Lester had two W + 19 K.
Gregorius B.I.G. 7, Trail-Hitters 3
Gregorius hit below the Uecker line, but seven W, five Sv and 66 K, plus a 1.77 ERA led them sweep pitching, led by Hudson's two W and 11 strikeouts; Ross added a W and nine K's. Trail managed only one HR; Lohse got a W and 11 srtrikeouts, while Bogaerts scored seven runs.
Sofa King Juiced 7, CGS 2
Three home-runs and seven driven in by Cabrera powered Sofa's offense and led them to victory, with Prado and Byrd adding two HR apiece. Heyward had two HR for CGS, who got three Sv from Meija and Soria. But 11 K's from Scherzer and Miley allowed Juiced to cruise to the win.
MyWieterGetzLongoria 4, Disabled Waffles 6
Waffles hit .305, led by an excellent performance from Cruz (four HR, eight RBI, .476) to all five pitching points. Wieter struck back on the mound, behind Fister (W and six strikeouits) and Niese (eight K's). However, Grilli saved three for Waffles, which gave them that category, just enough to hold on.
Mizzoula Osprey 6, Trumboner 3
Osprey took Hitter of the Week Encarnacion (five HR, 10 RBI), backed by Donaldson (four HR, 12 RBI) and Springer (three HR, seven RBI) and plowed to a hitting sweep; Davis homered twice for Trumboner, who also got a W + 10 K from Bumgarner. Ryu had two W and 11 strikeouts for the Osprey.
The Rusty Trumbones 7, Angry Saguaro 2
Rusty hit .207 but Mesoraco (three HR, seven RBI) still helped them edge the hitting categories, as Saguaro had only one HR. The Trombones pulled away in pitching, behind Kluber (W + 12 K) and Skaggs (15 K). Angry did get two Wins and six strikeouts by Buerhle in a losing cause.
Space Wizard 3, Alabama Slammers 6
Space had a 1.60 ERA and Street saved three games, with Hamels striking out 12. However, Alabama got a W + 13 K's from Sale, and Greinke added a Win and 11 K's. They also got two home-runs and eight driven in by Braun; Sandoval homered twice and added six RBI for Space.

With six of the top seven teams in the table playing each other this, you can pretty much take your choice as to the game of the week. Co-leaders Rusty take on 6th-placed AZ, while tie-mates Mizzoula faced Disabled; who are in 4th equal. The side they are level with, Trail, face Sofa, who are only 1.5 points back. So this week's games could result in breaking the logjam which sees 3.5 points covering the top eight teams... Or it could end up making everything even more closely-fought!
