Diamondbacks 12, Padres 6

Tonight's game didn't leave too much suspense on the table, as the Diamondbacks offense went full throttle right away and scored eight runs off the Padres in the first inning. After that, it was more just a matter of time, as the Diamondbacks kept the pressure on to pad their lead and keep San Diego from climbing too close back into the game. Every Diamondbacks starter had a hit except for Aaron Hill, as the team put up seventeen hits in the game, including home runs from Paul Goldschmidt and Martin Prado.

The Padres tried to get back into it and never really gave up on the game, with Tommy Medica their offensive star, coming a single short of hitting for the cycle. But Chase Anderson earned his third win by doing enough to keep the Diamondbacks in the lead, allowing four runs (only one earned) in 5 innings, and the Diamondbacks took the series at home.
