Where is the Depth ?

One would think that in trying to assemble a team as the D Backs have, they would at least have good depth, and reasonable options off the bench. However other than Eric Chavez, there hasn't been anyone else who has performed well off the bench. It's a pretty ugly picture. You don't expect your bench to be league average, but a 55 OPS+ is pretty bad. 75-80 would at least be reasonable.

With all the pitching problems this team has had, the abysmal performance of most of the bench players has been somewhat overlooked perhaps. Although not completely ignored of course, I've seen comments about it, Nick Evans anyone ???

By the way, we are almost getting to the point that when Pennington gets to start, he should probably be spelling Prado, not Owings.
