Visalia's Jesse Darrah had his best outing of the season and since his season opening disaster start has pitched pretty darned well. Last night he recorded 7 shutout innings on 3 hits and 3 walks with 7 strikeouts. If you throw out that season opener in which he allowed 7 earned runs in 1.1 innings Darrah has recorded a 2.36 ERA in his last 6 starts in the always difficult California League. He's old for the level at 24 and there's a lot of pitchers in the organization ahead of him, but he is making some noise and at this rate could find himself in Mobile before the year is out.
