D'backs Rally Late, Still Fall to Rox 5-4
A.J. Pollock did his best to provide some late-inning heroics by providing posting the tieing run via an 8th inning solo-shot. Unfortunately for the Diamondbacks, closer Addison Reed was unable to hold things for the team to have a chance in the 9th as he surrendered a home run to Colorado's Drew Stubbs. The home run surrendered by Reed was merely the last of a series of morale deflating plays in the game however, as the team also managed to load the bases in the sixth with nobody out but failed to push across a single run while Kirk Gibson turned to Roger Kieschnick to pinch hit in the frame instead of Prado or Ross. The loss was Arizona's fourth in a row.

Diamondbacks Trying to Prevent Thievery
Brandon McCarthy changed up his delivery a bit on Sunday night, which led to him picking of Jimmy Rollins, providing the Diamondbacks with only their second runner caught stealing of the season.
Record Does Not Reflect Team Talent
A frustrated Kevin Towers took to the airwaves on Wednesday to once again defend his struggling team.

But it would seem there are still good reasons for concern. The team may face an extended absence of slugger Ryan Braun to injury, and the bullpen upon which their lead has been founded is in line for some astounding levels of regression.
