The news on Twitter is that we'll have a new addition to our starting rotation this season, with Bronson Arroyo joining the Diamondbacks. Formerly with the Pirates, Red Sox, and Reds, Arroyo's career numbers give him a 138-127 record with an ERA+ of 104. Not exactly a top of the rotation arm, but does this mean we'll have less pressure on our young arms to come out of the gate full throttle this season? Will Archie Bradley get a little more seasoning in the minors, or will we see someone else bumped from the rotation? All questions we'll have to ponder as we watch Spring Training games next month.
Buster Olney reported on Twitter that the deal is $19 million for the first two seasons, with an option for $11 million in 2016, and a $4.5 million buyout. Still waiting on official word from the Diamondbacks.
