SnakePitAFLFest: Tonight at Salt River Fields

Just a reminder, we'll shortly be heading out to Salt River Fields to see the Salt River Rafters take on the Surprise Saguaros in the Arizona Fall League. First pitch this evening is at 6:35pm, so if you're at the game, please swing by and say hello. We'll likely be sitting down behind one of the dugouts, wearing the AZ Snakepit and Mrs. SnakePit jerseys [yeah, sickeningly adorable - I know... :) - keep an eye out on Twitter and/or in the comments for updates on precise location, and throughout the night. Bit it's all pretty informal. No reservation required.

Haven't seen the starting lineup for the Rafters yet, but it doesn't look like there are any D-backs scheduled on the pitching side. Archie Bradley started last night, and began okay, but then kinda fell apart, and ended up allowing three runs in three innings on five hits and a walk. So it's probably hitters Brandon Drury and Peter O'Brien that we'll be looking to scout more tonight. Drury is 5-for-24 with two home-runs and O'Brien is 4-for-16, but three of those hits haven't come back. I wonder if I could convince Mrs. SnakePit to sit on the outfield grass for home-run snagging purposes... Well, that trial balloon got popped quickly. Sitting in the stands it is...
