Triple A: Reno 3 @ Tucson 4. Mike Bolsinger had a below average start allowing 4 runs over 6 innings, and the offense wasn't able to match that. Shawn Camp and David Hernandez added scoreless innings of relief. Tyler Bortnick went 2 for 4 as the only multi-hit performer.
Double A: Mobile - Off Day
High A: Visalia 7 San Jose 5. Eddie McKiernan had a solid start allowing 1 run over 6 innings before Anthony Meo threatened to give back a big lead with another poor relief effort. Cody Wheeler put out the fire in the 7th and pitched a clean 8th, and Seth Simmons pitched the 9th for his 1st save. Jake Lamb delivered the big blow on offense with a bases-clearing double in the 5th. Lamb has 42 RBI in 58 games. David Peralta went 3 for 5 with an RBI.
Low A: South Bend 1 Bowling Green 4. Jesse Darrah pitched 5 scoreless innings on 1 hit but the offense, the defense and the bullpen didn't do their part in the 4-1 loss. Michael Perez hit a solo home run as the only offensive highlight. Kyle Winkler surrendered the tying run in the 7th and Enrique Burgos allowed the go-ahead runs in the 9th.
Short Season A: Hillsboro 5 Eugene 6. Ross Gerdeman got beat up on the mound to the tune of 5 runs on 9 hits over 3 innings. Blake Forslund was solid in relief adding 5 innings of 1-run ball, but the offense came up a run short in their comeback bid. Daniel Palka had a big game at the plate going 3 for 5 with a a triple and his 8th home run. Taylor Ratliff and Yogey Perez-Ramos each added a couple of hits, and Zach Esquerra played in his first game in a month going 0 for 3 with 3 strikeouts.
Rookie: Missoula - Off Day
AZL Rookie: Dbacks 9 @ Giants 4. The Dbacks got must-game victory in their bid for the playoffs and still trail the Angels by 1 game with 1 to play. Anfernee Benitez threw 6 good innings allowing 3 runs on 6 hits with 5 strikeouts. Jose Gonzalez followed with 3 innings of 1-run ball and that was plenty good enough due to a nice offensive outburst. Fernery Ozuna led the way going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored. Dane McFarland went 2 for 4 with 2 stolen bases.
