Triple-A - Reno 9 @ Fresno 1: Matt Wright threw five scoreless innings and CF Brad Snyder had four hits for a total of 12 bases, Reno scoring in six of their first seven innings and cruised, despite making four errors. Wright allowed four hits and a walk, striking out five, while Snyder had solo shots with two outs in the third and fifth, as well as a pair of doubles. 1B Mike Jacobs, C Ed Easley and LF Juan Rivera also homered.
Double-A - Mobile 0 @ Huntsville 2: The BayBears were completely unable to solve Brooks Hall and the other Stars pitchers, managing only two hits as they were blanked in Huntsville. Bo Schultz was the unlucky loser, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over six innings. SS Nick Ahmed had both of the BayBears hits, and also stole a base.
High-A - Visalia 8, Stockton 5: The Rawhide pounded out 15 hits, with the top five in their order all having a multi-hit night. LF David Peralta had three hits, including a homer, and drove in three runs; 3B Jake Lamb doubled and singled; and 2B Kevin Medrano delivered a pair of doubles. Eddie McKiernan got a no-decision, allowing three runs in 5.1 innings; R.J. Hively got his tenth save with a scoreless ninth.
A-ball - South Bend 2, Bowling Green 1: Jesse Daran threw six shutout innings, striking out six; he scattered four hits and three walks for the Silver Hawks. They scored both their runs in the sixth, and held on for the W, despite being outhit 9-5. 1B Rudy Flores drove in both runs with a double, the only South Bend hit in 9 ABs with RISP. Jimmiw Sherfly got the save, and has 7 K's in his first three innings.
Low-A - Hillsboro 7 @ Spokane 5 (10): The Hops coughed up a 5-1 lead over the final two innings, but scored two in the tenth on an error and RBI single by SS Ryan Gebhardt, to get the win. Gebhart had four hits and drove in two, while RF Jordan Parr went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles.Will Locante blew the save with a three-run ninth, but got an undeserved win: Jose Jose pitched a perfect 10th for the save.
Rookie - Missoula 3, Orem 7: The Osprey had a three-run lead after four, but the Owlz (yes, that's how it's spelt!) scored seven unanswered runs, taking the lead in a four-run eighth. RF Chuck Taylor had a pair of hits, and LF Justin Williams reached safely three times, on two hits and a walk. Carlos Hernandez worked six innings, allowing three hits on six hits and a pair of walks.
AZL - D-backs 3, Royals 2: Sean Furney struck out nine in seven innings, and allowed only an unearned run, but was stuck with a no-decision despite leaving with a 1-0 lead. Bud Jeter gave up the lead in the eighth, but 2B Henry Castillo walked the D-backs off with an RBI single in the ninth, after an RBI double by SS Sergio Alcantara. He and CF Matt McPhearson each had a pair of hits.
