Diamondbacks 0, Braves 3

The Diamondbacks streak of avoiding shutouts came to an end in Atlanta tonight, as the Diamondbacks offense was shutdown by Julio Teheran and the Atlanta bullpen. Arizona was held to only four hits on the night while striking out eleven times, ten of them to Teheran. Particular mention goes to Miguel Montero for his offensive struggles on the night, striking out three times in three at bats to Teheran before grounding into a double play to end the ninth inning against Craig Kimbrel.

This lack of offensive output meant Randall Delgado's outing against the team that traded him away was wasted on the night. Delgado scattered eight hits over six innings against the Braves, holding them to only two runs. Zeke Spruill, also a part of the trade that sent Justin Upton to Atlanta, gave up a third run in the eighth inning. The game was preceded by a ceremony retiring Chipper Jones's uniform number.
