Diamondbacks 4, Padres 10

Wade Miley, for lack of better term, melted the hell down in the fourth inning and the Diamondbacks dropped the second game of the series.

Welp.

The Diamondbacks had a 4-2 lead at one point in this game. Eric Chavez had a two run home run and a sacrifice fly and Paul Goldschmidt had an RBI single. Then the top of the fourth happened. Wade Miley was not sharp, in fact he was dull. Two singles (one by the opposing pitcher, Andrew Cashner.) and two doubles plated five in that inning between Miley and Tony Sipp. In the fifth, Nick Hundley singled in two runs thanks partially to a Gerardo Parra error. Then they added the tenth run on a bases loaded hit by pitch in the ninth.

Miley lasted only 3.2 innings, and seven runs were tacked on to his season total. He was hit by a line drive from Jedd Gryorko before his meltdown, and that may have contributed. However, he had in the previous inning given up a two-run jack to Everth Cabrera, so it wasn't going so well for him before then.

Full recap upcoming, maybe.
