Jason Kubel Reinstated From DL

Everyone's favorite bearded slugger has been activated from the 15-Day DL. As of writing the corresponding move has yet to be announced.

USA TODAY Sports

Various outlets have reported that Jason Kubel has been activated from the 15-Day Disabled List. He had been placed there on April 13th with a strained left quadriceps, meaning that he served the minimum 15 days. Efficiency! As you may recall, his injury led to the activation of Cody Ross, who himself started the season on the DL.

At time of writing, the team has yet to announce the corresponding move that will get the roster to 25 people, but the assumption would be Alfredo Marte being optioned to the minors, as he is the lightest hitting member of the current outfield corps. Nothing official has been announced yet, so stay tuned for possible surprises!

In the eight games that he has played so far this season, Kubel has been hitting a line of .333/.375/.600 with two home runs and six batted in. He will, presumably, be getting a decent share of starts in Left Field from this point onward.
