Hyun-Jin Ryu was effective. Ian Kennedy, not so much, and the Dodgers took the second game of the series by a score of 7-5. A three run 6th inning for the Dodgers was the nail in the coffin, with all three runs coming with two outs.
The D'Backs were able to scratch two runs in the 7th on RBI singles by Erics Hinske and Chavez. And got very close in the 8th with a solo shot by Martin Prado, and an RBI double by Aaron Hill, but it was too much to overcome.
For the second straight night, the strike zone could be described as "Amorphous", which lead to Cliff Pennington becoming the first D'Back to be ejected from a game this year.
The D'Backs will go for the series win tomorrow afternoon. Full recap upcoming.
