Jason Kubel had an MRI this morning and, based on those results, has been placed on the DL. He said he initially felt discomfort while running the bases in Milwaukee last weekend (h/t Nick Piecoro). Cody Ross has been rehabbing his strained calf this past week with Class A Visalia and Triple-A Reno. He was originally scheduled to play with Reno tonight and join the Diamondbacks for their New York trip, but he was at the ballpark today instead. Ross went 2-for-3 with a double last night with the Aces, and he has reportedly felt great.
